They think it has an A5 chip. I'd take a wager if true, it's definitely coming to T-mobile. I'm sure Apple knows of the hurdles AT&T needs to overcome to buyout Tmobile, why take the chance of not releasing an iPhone and then the buyout doesn't go through? I can see it now, "we're announcing the iPhone on T-Mobile USA, 42+Mbps, it's magical" -Steve

Picked this up at Georgetown University's bookstore today, they had it beside the new models and it was marked down to $27 brand new.

So we have...
-A few porn stars
-A Ferrari
-A briefcase of cocaine
-Excessive alcohol consumption
-A $30,000 check to a porn star
...how is this any different than 'Two and a Half Men'?
I love this man.
minus the cocaine and I'm in.

This is all well and good but what happens when the cash dries up? The servers go down, leaving you with an expensive Safari.
Anything that you pay for one-time that is reliant on a 3rd party funding its operation is bad news :/

Here in Phoenix I have not had too many issues. i get full strength signal most of the time and almost always 3g. however there are a few places i have that and still cannot get data, luckily its not often, and usually its in the evening which is probably heavy usage times.
East side of the Phoenix and the outlying areas are terrible. This thing is a brick often! I actually keep old reliable verizon around in case of emergency. Still, the iPhone rocks and I'll just keep it till they open it up to Verizon too!
AT&T sucks!

How long after you make a purchase does the App Store remember your password so you don't have to enter it again? I presume that's what happened in this case.

I used VMware workstation for Windows, that thing was awesome. Let me test so much stuff, and the features are so useful. That thing was slow, but it worked just fine. Now, if they released something like that for Mac, Parallels will have some stiff competition. But Parallels should still beat VMware in the price point, VMware isn't that cheap after all.

I'm curious why you would automatically upgrade at all, since you have an iPhone 4 already. What do you expect out of version 5 that you can't do now? I'm not being critical, if that's what you want go for it. I'm just curious why some people plan to upgrade every time, sight unseen.

Good time to buy. $$ :D
Amen. It's such an increase from just three years ago when it was around $23 a share. Buying low now takes a lot more money.

The T-Mobile deal isn't a for sure thing. Likely, but the FTC could block it. Also, as the article states T-Mobile's towers use a different frequencies.
That doesn't mean that Apple wouldn't be testing handset for them now. Just being an optimist. If AT&T/T-Mobile purchase does go through, it doesn't mean that T-Mobiles 2G/3G network goes away. It will be around for many more years. AT&T may require their handsets to support the T-Mobile 3G bands as well as their own.

I didn't buy my Mac to be popular and I don't particularly care that lots of people are (or are not) using them. It's just an irrelevant metric to me.
Neither did I, but more market share means more software developers and more apps. That's the only reason I care.

Remember when tiered pricing was announced, Steve said more songs would be available for $.69 than $1.29...I have yet to see a $.69 song.
I've seen numerous $0.69 songs. If you're always looking at brand new stuff you may not see them.

bought the 27 inch quad i5 stock version last august just days after refresh. I loved it but due to wacky screen issue (dust or heat flaw) I got the apple store to just swap it out 3 months after I bought it. Second one had no issues and continues to perform flawlessly. I want to get a new macbookpro with thunderbolt but I think I'm going to hold off until Lion is released.

This is long overdue. Hopefully it does not have the same connectivity issues as other products on the market such as those from Microsoft.
