- Take an infopass appointment at your local immigration office to check her approval status; If it is showing approved you are fine; then you would just need to contact the customer service at USCIS service center to find out where her approval letter is.
- If her case is not approved, apply for EAD and AP if you have not done it already.
Her 485 has been filed FOUR years ago sir.

Your parents should provide your address as the USA residence address while filling the form at port of entry. Sometimes the immigration officer at port of entry may call you to verify.

She will be a new candidate. Her 6 year clock for H status has already started, though. I.e., she only has 4.5 years left.
Don't agree with this. According to a revision some time ago, time in H4 status is no longer counted against H1-B 6 yr limit.

Pls sincerely advice if he can still apply for H1B in April 2008, if he just missed 365 days out of country rule by 6 or 7 days (incase he comes back on Aug 10th 2007 for filing, he would fulfill 360 days out of country and not 365 as needed) ?
please do some research on immigrationportal.com. i recall reading that short visits should not reset the H1B 365 day clock. days of short visits will just not get counted towards the 365 days.

The application was received on 7/10 and the checks were cashed today - How will you receive the resceipt number ? Would it come in the mail?
USCIS will sent you receipt. If you do internet banking and can see your check, on reverse side of check, they stamp with detailed infromation. If you can access that you can find it.
Yesterday I picked up receipt number for my son from check, who applied OPT/EAD in CSC.
Otherwise wait for few more days to get receipt.

Couple of weeks ago, a friend of mine went for visa revalidation at Mumbai, he requested if he can come back in the evening and pick up the passports(all family). He was let come in the evening and pick them up.
Can you let me know the process?
Also website where I can get more info?

I guess employer need to revoke unused H1Bs as part of H1B rules. Maybe that is the reason employer revoked past H1Bs to keep their side clean.
I remember reading Murthy bullettin where she mentioned back-wages are an issue if H1B is not explicitly revoked.

My husband's GC priority date is EB2 Dec 2003, but I-140 is still pending. We applied for I-140 and I-485 in Nov 2007 after labor was stuck in backlog centers for 4 years.
We are done with finger prints few months ago. No updates on I-140 or I-485s after that.
Is it useful if we take Info pass appintment in this case and enquire about our case status?
Why not USCIS offer I-140 premium processing for older priority dates?
Can I-485 be pre-adjudicated even if I-140 is pending?.

I am also in a similar boat - I have received all the receipt notices except my wife's AOS. My wife has received EAD and FP, waiting for the AP. My lawyer suggested to wait for 30 calendar days, after which he is going to initiate a service request for duplicate notice. I will repost, if I get any updates.

I did receive the RFE today and what I have guessed in correct. USCIS is asking to submit the remaining medical work. My lawyer gave me 2 options. Once is to bring my wife here and complete the tests and second is to request to postpone the dates. He said that I can not garuntee 100% chances that your application would be considered if the dates become current. I am going to bring my wife for a week time since I have only 25 days left to respond.
As it is mentioned in the RFE, I have to reply with the sealed envlope and copy of letter and the yellow paper attached. I did not receive any yellow paper along with the mail. Did any one received like this ?
My attorny also received the mail but not sure about the yellow paper at this point of time since they have to get the documents from other location. Any light in this regard is much appreciated.

you could use an imagemap but i'd say slice it up and read a tutorial on switching from ps7 to image ready so you can change the rollover states. just look it up in google
