And teaching is easy??
So what do you have against teachers making more? If teachers made more competitive salaries, there would be more competition for teaching jobs, thus leading to better quality teachers, ultimately resulting in better education.
I'd rather spend an extra $100/yr for better teachers rather than helping to pay for Tom Cruise's 39 estates.

This is great news if it means the end of mobile me. Die Mobile Me - DIE DIE DIE. Anything will be better than the self centered sounding @me.com. I simply will not use the email address in a professional context. Don't mind @Mac.com, and still use it, but @me.com sends the wrong message.

Where do you see this? Every ebay auction I see for dotmac ends up being at least $75 or more with $5 shipping at least.

Anyone run into an issue with 4.31 where if they orient the phone sideways it
sometimes won't orient the display sideways unless you flip it over the other side?
I wonder if that's a bug since it never happened prior to 4.3.

I've installed OpenOffice.org for OS X, and when I save files in MS-office formats (.xls, .doc, etc) they do not have any icon assigned to them. If I save in the native open-doc format, the icons appear. When I double-click the .xls files, they will open automatically with OpenOffice, but the icons are still blank.
How can I get these icons to be correct?

Well im at school so it would be using there power :) Do these tasks kinda lock the PS3 down for a specific amount of time or what?

well i'm not sure, but i don't do anything else on my PS3 when it's folding. I stop the folding when i'm using it.

I tend to agree. Cut programs until our expenses match our current 'revenues.' When the two are equal or are in the black, let's immediately pass an balanged-budget amendment so this problem never happens again. And, raise taxes so our spending is less than our revenues and we can start paying off the debts Reagan, Bush and Bush left our grandchildren. It's time to start acting like grown-ups.
For the record, they are paying their fair share. The top 50% of wage earners pay over 95% of the income tax. Your disgusting attack on all conservatives wanting to '****' over all citizens is just that... disgusting. They don't pay 95% of all taxes. In addition, if you look at their income, they have tons of it that is not taxed (So, shouldn't they be paying even more? I don't have much income that isn't taxed, why should they?) They also have and control the vast, vast majority of the wealth in this country that is not taxed until sold for a gain (whether you realize it or not, there's some big concepts in that one sentence). Finally, all the other taxes are regressive or at best flat, which means the poor and middle classes are paying more than their fair share of those taxes. You don't seem to care about that, you're more interested in protecting 100-200 of the wealthiest of the wealthy.

I see TJ Maxx's acquisition of some iPads as a marketing scheme. If a few select stores have at least 5 to offer at a discounted price, imagine what kind of results they would get if they offered them as a Black Friday Doorbuster Special. They would probably get hundreds lined up at the door like Best Buy does for a deeply discounted HDTV or laptop. As for a warranty, I don't think they offer warranties on any of their products because they are a clearing house.

You cannot set a webmail account to open when you click on a mailto URL. If you want to set up your e-mail account in your Desktop mail client (like Entourage) that is usually possible depending on what kind of e-mail account you have.

i'm experiencing glitching when playing video.
mostly .avi on vlc - the video will stop for a second, pixelate for a few seconds then go back to normal.
i was experiencing some glitching in safari as well (shortperiods of beachballs) so i upgraded to a momentus xl hard drive (500gb 7200rpm hybrid) and now i have no issues remaining except the video.
i'm on a c2d white macbook, 2.4 ghz and have just done a clean install of snow leopard.
machine is running great with the new drive but if anyone knows what the hitch with videos might be i'd appreciate the insight - thanks.

Pretty sad that someone would say such a thing in such a case :(. I mean she's 11 and there were 18 of them.
Its a long way from even a "typical" "she deserved it" case where the woman in question is usually drunk and at a club/bar. Not that it is appropriate in that case either, but this is a really shocking case.

I wish Apple would come out with their own suite of apps. There hasn't been any competition with Adobe since CorelDraw.
