I had the same problem last year.

1. Attorney Aron Finkelstein in Sheila murthy office helped me out.
This is what we did, We filed an MTR to consider my case in Eb3, with it we also attached a new application for Eb3 and specified in Mtr, to consider our new application if they fail to accept my MTR. My new application for Eb3 was approved.

I cant help you on your EAd and stuff ,as I know your EAD becomes invalid immediately once your 485 is denied, which will be denied if your underlying 140 application is denied.

I would suggest, you contact a attorney soon.

My suggestions are my experience and stuff, I am not an attorney to give you legal advise.

Hello,

I have a couple of questions here:

1) The last digit of the I-94# number is not very clear(Not sure if it is a 3 or 8). What do I write in the 485? Is there any way to find the correct one?

2) I filed the I140 without providing the A#. I understand that when I dont provide one, a new one is generated. And the A# is usually used to link the 485 with the 140. Now when I apply for 485, if I give the A# from my OPT EAD, will it be a problem because a new number will be already generated for I140? Should I write the A# in 485 or just leave it??

Frist's enforcement only bill will be very popular in the house, but is unlikely to pass the senate. There seems to be quite a few republican senators (Specter, Mccain, Graham, Brownback to name a few) who might vote against any bill which is not "comprehensive". They along with the dems easily have more than 50 votes to block. Now, even if Frist's passes senate, it has to be reconciled with the house version - there are plenty of vocal anti EB folks there and hardly anyone pro. So if push comes to shove, Frist would probably agree to drop the EB provisions and pass rest of the bill , so that he can take credit and hit the '08 presidential campaign trail.

Specter's will easily pass the senate, will be a miracle if it passes the house - senate conference commitee in its present form. The only hope is all the attention will be on the amnesty provisions and negotiations surrounding that, and the EB part of it will fly under the radar.

My first term on H1 expired on June 2002. I revalidated it and the second term also got expired as of June 2004. Since I was in US only for 3 years on that H1, is it possible to revalidate it again now, even I'm not working for company A now? Company A can file for revalidation for recapturing the remaining time on H1 but you may to work with them once the H1B's gets approved..

Hi, this is my situation:

- I have L2 Visa, because my husband has L1B Visa. This year, the visa expires and we have 3 new options: extension for L1 and L2 Visa, H1 and H4Visa or Green Card.
- In the other hand, I have my own business. I have and EAD (work permit) and SSN.

Questions:
1. Which of the 3 options do you recommend us to get? Why?
2. I understand that under H4, I am not able to get a work permit. Do I need a work permit to continue doing business by myself? Or it is required even to run my business?

My company filed my Perm on Jun 4th 08 but it is not yet approved. My H1B is in its 6th year and will end in July 09. I was wondering if I would get an extension , even if my Perm gets denied for some reason.

I just want to prepare for the worst case. Can any one please help with some information.

What are my options to get a H1B extension.

Any chance you could change your mind about this entry being disqualified?

I've just re-read the official rules (http://www.kirupa.com/contests/index.htm) and nowhere does it say: "Don't use external libraries".

I only suspected I might be in trouble after finishing the entry, when I read the guidelines thread.

It doesn't seem fair that I've been disqualified over a rule that isn't actually in the rules.
The situation sort of reminds me of 'The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy' where the Earth was destroyed because no one bothered to check the bulletin board on another planet.
