The iPhone 4 will be a year and a few months old by September. I guess Apple can afford to wait simply because the iPhone brand has a good deal of market power, but it's still strange because their competition will be head over heels ahead of them. I hope iOS 5 is out before fall.
Thats a good point, with the Android platform releasing a new phone every 3 days on every network and with every phone manufacturer possible, This doesnt really make good business sense for Apple.

$100 says that in 2 months we will hear about screen flickering issues.
only specs are changed, i bet the screens are same.
apple likes to keep the update minimum
hope flicker does not come back for new owners!!!

This news raises all sorts of questions:
1) When will the iPhone 5 actually be released?
2) Should I go to Chipotle for lunch?

Since when did a persons lifestyle choice become everyone else's business? Jesus, I didn't realize being fat was such an ethical decision...
And to actually bring in healthcare and politics into this? Seriously? Then you guys should:
1) stop smoking cigarettes,
2) stop eating fast food,
3) stop sitting on your ass typing on mac rumors (maybe go for a run?)
4) avoid ever single carcinogen on the planet, like say, the sun (UV radiation?)...
5) stop driving cars, or doing anything that involves fast or dangerous movement, like say sports?
6) be the perfect most healthy person ever...
...because it's my problem. I'm paying for it in my taxes. HOW COULD YOU BE SO SELFISH!?
This is her choice. It effects her and her family, not you. I forgot how God declared that fat people go straight to hell, because being fat is so evil...
i think you missed my point - it's about her probably having a mental issue thinking her goal is 'ok'.
Raising healthcare is an issue - it's common sense that 'fit' people will probably have a smaller impact on healthcare than someone who is unfit. Being fit doesn't guarantee perfect health, but it's like having a flat tire on a car vs a car without a flat - which one is going to go farther and requires less repairs???

I think he means that the wireless card in the new MBP may be the same as in the new iMac, which is apparently 802.11n draft compliant
But if its not is there anyway you could upgrade to a 802.11n wireless card when it comes out in 2008? Like take it took an apple store and pay 100 or something..

There should be a setting something like:
- Never ask for password for purchases of $X and under.
- Always ask for password for purchases of $Y and over.
The first one would be nice so it I could set it to free and easily update my apps.
The second would help prevent cases like the OP.
I don't know about setting thresholds like that, but I sure would like to be able to download (and re-download) free apps without being prompted every time.

Volume switch issue? Please enlighten me, I don't know what you refer to.
I believe he's talking about them moving the volume buttons for the Verizon iPhone. So a case for the AT&T iPhone won't fit the Verizon iPhone.

What a sad post.
Nice deflection. You've been on the offensive out of the gate in this game. I don't know what your h*rd-on is for me this game, but apparently I appear a good victim in your eyes. You've played these games a long time, and are a very good player, you know exactly how to tweak things to your advantage and this unusual hardball manner you're playing this game is telling.
Game play aside, I hope you're okay- in the offline world.

Proof please. You have no idea what does or doesn't go to the artists, songwriters, producers, etc. You are speculating. The site has been up and running for years now, because noone has been able to prove in a court that they are doing anything illegal. If the courts decide otherwise and shut the site down, I'll move back to Amazon.
You have implied your own proof. The fact that they are in Court at all should tell you money is not going from the site to the record labels / artists etc.
The only reason the cases have failed is that its not illegal under Russian law. Russian sites are violating international law in making this content available, but international law is very, very difficult to enforce. Especially where the action is legal in the violating nation.

I'm currently testing one out :)
I can see that the White keys are still underneath, but where did you get those black 'covers' (for lack of a better word) for the wireless keyboard in the background?

[The Microsoft music player could be a huge success if Microsoft wants it to be. MS could offer them at such a low price they they would sell fast. Of course MS would loose a pile of money on each unit but why would they care if the goal is to run the competition out of bussenis. A $50 player with 10 GB of space would pretty much kill the iPod.

this sounds very interesting and futuristic. i wonder how you click, or make a selection. it would be pointless if you could scroll wothout touching the screen, but had to touch it in order to click on the scroll wheel.
im excited though! sounds cool!

I'm not sure stuffing a corpse with candy is very hygienic.
Who said anything about candy?
Seriously, though, we're going to treat him like Hector? Like he was some great hero worthy of our wrath and opprobrium?
Not a hero, but obviously worth our wrath and opprobrium, given that we spent 10 years trying to find him.
I disagree, we should wrap him in an army blanket and bury Bin Laden in an unmarked grave; the man's had enough celebrity already.
In a flower print dress and petticoat hiked up to his waist with his bare ass facing Mecca, maybe. He was a crapsack who got his jollies from murdered innocents, and deserves to be humiliated.
I like it! And after they're done Obama can piss on his corpse! :D
Hmm..what's Pfc England and her cohorts up to these days?

I'm sorry, if you struggle to lose weight, you're not doing it right. Losing weight is dead easy. Keeping it off is dead easy too. Have your doctor check for any health problems which might prevent you from losing weight or recheck your food intake vs energy expenditure.
Losing weight is a very simple formula : Calories in < Calories out. Change the symbol around and you gain weight. Make it = and you keep your weight.
A lot of people don't understand this very simple mecanic which is the very basis of weight control. When you have this part down to a science, you can adjust the food intake to provide fibers/vitamins/proteins that you need.
Under normal circumstances, you're more or less right. However, many supersize people have participated in crash diets, drugs and other questionable regimens over the years in search of quick-fix thinness. Doing so can, after a while, sabotage the body's normal metabolic rate and endocrine output, making it much harder for these people to find the balance in their caloric equation without depriving themselves of needed micronutrients (vitamins, minerals).
Creative positioning + bed with a good bit of "give", e.g. Memory Foam = enjoyment without that "crushing" feeling. This has served me well, and that's the best way I can explain it without going into TMI territory.
This is a great post!!!
Thank you.

That's a very nice pencil!!!
I have a Zebra 4-in-1 + pencil (http://http://www.jetpens.com/index.php/product/view/products_id/474), which has 4 pen colours and a mechanical pencil. I have 3 nicer-looking versions of the one in the link. ;) I'll pick up more of them the next time I'm in Japan!

I agree. I think the 'gain' in processor speed will be hard to notice. But for many of us, the 'drop' in gpu performance (which is already marginal with the 320m) will be deadly.
Agreed, even though I mainly game on my desktop. I still occasionally play wow and starcraft on my air. The drop in GPU performance would most definitely affect me more than the marginal CPU increase.

It's done on purpose because we've been used to backwards scrolling all these years. Why should a mouse's scroll wheel control the scroll bar, and not the page you want to scroll? When you think about it, it's kind of silly to add that extra layer of abstraction when you don't need it.
Now it's been corrected - it takes almost no time to get used to it. Embrace it, and you'll be ok.
Yes, you are right! It is more natural… And you can even deactivate it in the trackpad settings, as JLL said. Not bad! It is difficult to go back to Snow Leo, where the scrolling goes with the scroll bar. Anyway, I will keep both ways of scrolling. Makes my brain flexible :)

Halo: Reach Limited Edition Xbox 360 S
Replacing my old Xbox 360 Elite. Can't wait to get all this set up and play.

PERFECT! Now you can eat while you play! I really should have done mine this way.
:D
p.s. I'm jealous. I can't justify trying to sell my Resident Evil Elite to jump back on the Halo train.

Why?
I thought AT&T's buyout means T-Mobile is going bye-bye?
408 area code, that means cali. is that steve jobs' personal number? :P
I am sure any plans to launch it have been scrapped and this is just a left over prototype. You know Apple has a history of planning for every contingency, I am sure there are Sprint iPhones ready to go also. If Apple decides to release them they would be ready to go.

+1 for TB "Target disk mode"! I am happy they kept FW800 on the newest MBPs though.
Anyone think TB will be eventually used for connecting things like cameras as well?
Canon will use it for DV.
