Let me qualify by stating I don't have a D40x. There are a bunch of things you can do, depending on the specific problem. However, if you can set the autofocus points, then set the center point as the default. That way the camera will only focus on what's dead center in the lens.
You also need an aperature that will give enough depth of field. You don't necessarily need the whole shot in focus, just the right part of the shot. The exact aperature is going to depend on the size of lens you use. A telephoto will require a higher aperature than a wide angle lens to get more depth of field. There are DOF charts available on the internet. The aperature you use will also depend on whether you are using a flash. Also, are you sure it's a focus issue and not a motion issue. A bounce flash may not be the best way to stop action of a young'n.

Last month I called TSC and got a really nice IO. I was checking on my FBI name check status and he told me that he can get more details by A# instead of receipt NO. He in fact found my A# as i only had receipt number handy. He than told me that the FBI checks are cleared and my case is assigned to an IO.
Does case assigned to an IO means that when Visa nos are available i have chance to get GC? Does it mean it is adjudicated and waiting for visa NO?

Insurance did not pay for mine and my wife however my employer reimbursed me.
If your primary physician "advises" you to go through the "same" tests then insurance companies will have to pay.

I want to purchase an house in Washington DC/MD/VA. My office is close to Rockville. Please recommend the best place to buy an house based on the following criteria.
1> Very good school district
2> Low property tax
3> Very low crime rate
4> Rental value should be same as mortgage amount+insurance+PMI+property tax
5> Property values should be in 300K range max
6> Lot of Indians
9> Maximum distance to DC should not exceed 30 miles
10> Close to shopping places
Just out of curiosity....Are you a first time buyer or are you moving from some other place to DC area? Just thinking about the home buyer's credit for first timers...

I was looking for getting VISA for my Niece and Nephew, who are below 14yrs. But I didnt find an option for them not going to consulate.
it take more effort n paperwork to get the visa without going to consulate even for the kids below 14, better option is to go to consulate.
My 4 yr old niece went in person for the visa along with an adult of course.

I got my FP done today. I received the FP notice around 12th Sep. My receipt date is 4th Sep. Case is in Tx.
Appointment time was 2PM. We reached 15mins early. The time does not matter. Long line to check and accept the form. Then we were issued numbers and asked to wait for the numbers. For the amount of people waiting for FP, they did a good and fast job. Mostly young kids and they were fast.
Did FP and took Picture of self and wife and we were done. It took a little over 1 hour. I carried my passport but showd Drivers licence and that was all that was needed. Hope this helps.

Thank you; my reading of the law is also the same. However, a few of years ago (post-2001) both inside and outside counsel hired by my company came to a different conclusion. Hence, my parsing of the words.

I am working in University in US and my I-140 (EB-2 Sch-A) is approved and my I-485 is pending. I have H-1B approved from March-06 but yet not stamped.
I am planing to Go to India some time next summer.
But before that I am planing to go to MEXICO ( MATAMOROS) for H-1B and
H-4 stamping for my family.
Do I need to carry any extra documents apart from those needed for H-1 B stamping?
DO I need to Get Advance parole before going to mexico for H-1B stamping?
Does the my going out of country with pending I-485 without taking AP will affect pending application of I-485?
Your experienced advise will help me a lot.
