I'm a bit disappointed in this photo. I could have done a better edit but out of 5 different ones this is the best I could get with my skills. I'm going to take a photoshop class in the summer. I need to step my game up a lot!

Now all they need to do is lower the price to $75, or include dotMac with iLife, or give discounts on Apple software with the purchase of .Mac.
Oh, and they need to increase speed and storage. And they need to add support for smartphones by enabling "push" IMAP.
And they in general need to stop depending on their tie-ins to the OS to make it worth it for the service... thats something MS would do. Make it worth it because it is a better product.

Volkswagen has taken a new direction with the design of their Passat.

The engine choices remain good, especially the rare diesel option, but how are they going to shave $7000 off the base price of the Passat AND make it larger without turning it into just another Camry/Malibu/Taurus/Impala/Accord soulless bore-fest McSedan?
Volkswagen's following in the US is built on buyers looking for a more European-flavored car. Volkswagen, however, now seem intent on making their lineup more "American". This seems sure to alienate Volkswagen's core buyers in the US.
Sadly, that is exactly what they are doing. Have you seen the new US market Jetta? They stripped out a lot of the options that used to be standard, lowered the quality of the interior, and made a lot of other cuts in order to lower the price. That "under $16k" price they brag about has the ancient and underpowered 2.0L naturally aspirated four (used to be the 2.5L 5), a solid rear axle (used to be independent rear suspension), and rear drum brakes.
VW figured out that bigger sells better in the mid-size four door sedan market, so they bumped it up. They decontented a bit, and they also moved production to the US (http://www.autoblog.com/2011/01/09/2012-volkswagen-passat-chattanooga-vw/). I guess VW has decided to move from "affordable German luxury" back to "The people's car".

I've currently got a 2008 2.66GHz C2D 20" iMac and I'm wanting to upgrade the RAM from 2x1GB to 2x2GB.
I have a way of getting 2x2GB RAM modules from a 2011 MacBook Pro but I want to know if the RAM is compatible.
The RAM from the MacBook is Hynix 2 x 2GB DDR3 1333mhz RAM.
Will this work in a 2008 iMac?
If it won't work what sort out RAM do I need?

Let's see, largest mobile software store. Most profitable mobile software store (for developers). Most profitable mobile device.
Surely it's marginalized when the other companies are giving away their products for market share (and losing money in the same time).
Of course Apple is having great success today with its iOS ecosystem. However, I think we are near their zenith of market dominance and it will soon be downhill - eventually leading to stagnation and marginalization. We can see this happening with the iPhone; its market share is going down, not up. I think we will see the same trend come to the tablet market in the next year or two.

Why? Because Apple does not support publisher's selling your personal information to third parties. Something FT and many others do not even allow you to opt out of? You are seriously coming out in favor of this very consumer unfriendly practice?

I honestly don't care....my upgrade date was timed almost perfectly with the release of the iPhone 4 last year (Upgraded in late July once the damn phone was actually available without having to beat up hipsters in line IIRC), and unless they offer early upgrade deals better than what they have the last couple of years, I wouldn't be eligible to upgrade anyway. The iPad has taken up all of my iOS gaming, so really all I need an iPhone to do is be an iPod and use reference apps on the go (maps, wikipedia, soundhound, imdb, recipes, safari, banking, ebay, amazon, etc). Maybe one or two small games for Dr's office waiting rooms like Tiny Wings or Angry Birds, but I'm pretty sure the iPhone 4 will be able to handle that demanding load for years to come....
I'm even open to an iPhone lite- I don't need a powerhouse in my pocket and if I save some money, good deal.

I'm an Apple fan, but the truth has to be told: a) 3.5" is TOO small to be practical. I have a Motorola DEFY with a 3.7" display, and even then, the on screen keyboard is not large enough in portrait mode, at least 4 to 4.3" is vital.
Why not 5"? Or 6"? 4.3" is "vital?" I doubt most people desire a phone that's the size of an old-school PDA. I know I don't.

If the company should not be allowed to do that for the sake of consumer protection, then there should be laws to prohibit such practice. If you personally do not agree with the conditions of the subscription, then you are always free to decide not to subscribe. If it turns out that their decision keeps customers from subscribing, then they might choose to reconsider.
